A wine can be happy, sad, evoke anger or calmness. It can paint a picture, remind you of a book and connect you to a person, place, flavor, scent or moment. Wine can make you feel something. I like tasting from my heart rather than mind, living through a wine and describing it outside the realm of traditional descriptions. I strive to curate “moments” of feeling with wine to create complex experiences and visions: connecting vineyards and flavors, stimulating the senses through food pairings, tasting with emotion, and facilitating wine-centered moments in time. To me, natural wines are wines with a sense of place, produced without chemicals, as few interventions and manipulation as possible, with respect to the natural environment. I chose natural wines that I love because they are true expressions, not extreme versions.

I’m Giulia. Wine has (almost) always been my passion. My journey began in 2009 with a a sommelier course. From then on I didn’t stop tasting, sharing, studying and deepening my knowledge. In 2010 I worked in France as a wine consultant and in 2011 completed my Master’s in Wine Marketing and Management at the University of Florence. After interning at a gastronomic communications agency, my role became clear: to bridge those who produce wine to those who drink it. Since 2013 I have been curating the wine list at Libreria Brac (a book boutique, vegetarian restaurant and wine bar).
